Here are comments from some of the people we have worked with. . .

We want to say thank you to Carolyn Goss. The friendship that grew out of this experience is a treasure . . .Thanks to Len Goss for giving Willie and me the opportunity to tell our story. . . . During the writing of this book, our lives continued to produce some unbelievable experiences and intertwined with personalities that will no doubt find their way into future works, including Carolyn, whose quirky warmth and understanding made it possible to get any of this done.- Willie Aames and Maylo Upton-Aames, actors and authors of Grace is Enough

I owe a staggering debt of gratitude to my magnificent editors Leonard G. Goss and Carolyn Stanford Goss. Len’s and Carolyn's elegant gifts of editing and wise godly counsel were essential ingredients in the recipe that produced my book. - Mark Affleck, author of Love God Fear Nothing, president & CEO of Yellow Chair Strategy, former pastor at Saddleback Church, president & CEO of the California Avocado Commission, and co-founder of the Hass Avocado Board, serving growers from California, Mexico and Chile

I am thankful for Len Goss in whose heart God first put the idea for my A Theology for the Church. He and his staff are to be commended for their excellent assistance every step of the way. - Daniel L. Akin, president of Southeastern Theological Seminary and prolific author
It came to my attention how many books have been written lately pertaining to individuals with death experiences related to God and heaven. I had such an experience myself. But for me, the driving force of my experience taught me what other books did not say: God does not intend for us to die to meet him, but to live with him daily while we are alive. We are to know, feel, see, and expect God's hand in our lives without having to wait for that bright light of the beyond. So, I decided to share my experience in a book. But I am no writer. I give many thanks to Leonard Goss, a well-known editor, for taking this project on and doing an outstanding job. As Len has said many times, "It's time to strike some good blows for the Kingdom." - Rick Anderson, author of You Don’t Have to Die to Meet God

I want to express my indebtedness to Len Goss.  He is willing to take a gamble.  As an experienced editor he has been a significant source of support and encouragement to me.  I look forward to partnering with him on future projects.- Prof. Michael J. Anthony, Biola University and Talbot School of Theology, author or editor of twelve books, including Introducing Christian Education: Foundations for the 21st Century and Evangelical Dictionary of Christian Education

I met Len Goss at the Blue Ridge Mountain Writer's Conference. I presented my proposal to him, and I was surprised when six other conferees at the dinner table spontaneously shared their personal stories of suicide's impact on their lives [thus supporting the thesis of my book proposal]. Len said, "I thought your idea was too narrow, but now I see this table is a microcosm of society. There is a need for this book." He caught the vision and took a chance. - Candy Neely Arrington, author of Aftershock: Help, Hope and Healing in the Wake of Suicide
Len and Carolyn Goss possess a lifetime of writing and editing skills that can benefit any project. Len Goss may not remember me, but back when he was at Crossway, he almost published a novel of mine (but not quite) called Covenants of the Red Planet. I remember how he handled the entire affair quite fondly. He was gentle with this new writer, and fortunately, he did not let that substandard piece see the light of day! I now have 25 books under my belt (all nonfiction science) and a few short stories (sci-fi). With a little experience, I really see his wisdom. I do have my first novel coming out this year through Springer called A Stranger Sea, a sort of mystery that takes place on the moon Titan, and I hope to do more fiction in the future. Fiction is such an entertaining break from my dusty old nonfiction stuff. - Michael Carroll is one of the prime movers in space art.  His alien vistas and technical renderings appear in countless books and magazines throughout the world.  Time, Smithsonian, Astronomy and Popular Science magazines have showcased his writing and his art, and he has written many books for children on science and the universe

Many years ago Mark Sutton and I both attended a writer’s conference in New Orleans. One editor, Len Goss, almost accepted one of my manuscripts, but later it died in committee. I hate committees. Mark had a commitment to present a marriage seminar in Nashville, Tennessee, and he had learned that Len Goss was now the chief acquisition editor for Broadman & Holman Publishers (now B&H Publishing Group), headquartered in Nashville. Mark had an inspiration. He contacted Len and asked if we could have lunch with him. Len agreed, and so we flew up to Nashville. I insisted on putting the book proposal in a clear plastic folder so the title would be visible, a trick I had read about on the Internet. Mark and I had worked out our strategy on presenting the book before we met Len for lunch. I placed the book proposal on the table. Before we could launch into our presentation, Len picked up the folder. My heart raced and I almost threw up. He looked at the title through the clear plastic. “What is this?” he asked. “Mark and I want to write a book on depression. He’ll do the spiritual part and I’ll cover the medical.” I managed to say this with a very dry mouth and thick tongue. Len was quiet as he studied the folder. He gently placed it on the table and frowned. “Someone I care deeply about has been fighting depression. Did you know there are no good books out there on depression for Christians? They all just seem to say ‘Have more faith.’ I think we’ll take the book.” Len said he wants the book! Now, it wasn’t that easy from that point on. Len had to fight for the book in his publishing committee. But, finally, two years after that meeting, Conquering Depression: A Thirty Day Plan to Finding Happiness hit the bookshelves. Although it has never been a best seller, it has been as consistent backlist title, and it has been amazing how many lives the book has saved. Yes, I said how many lives the book has saved! - Bruce Hennigan, M.D., physician, surgeon, novelist, apologist, and speaker
